Ask three shops for the price of a 6203 and you may get three very different answers. Some of that is margin, but most of it comes from real differences between bearings that share the same number. This is what moves the price.
1. Type and size
A small deep groove ball bearing is a few hundred rupees; a large spherical roller bearing for a mill can cost many thousands. Roller bearings cost more than ball bearings of the same bore, and every step up in size adds steel and machining.
2. Seals, shields and cage
A 2RS (rubber sealed) bearing usually costs a little more than an open one. Brass cages (M) cost more than pressed steel. Stainless steel and heat resistant bearings cost more again.
3. Quality grade and origin
Steel quality, heat treatment and grinding precision all show up in the price, and in how long the bearing lasts. Premium international brands cost the most. Good Chinese-made bearings cover most general machinery at a much lower price.
4. Quantity
Bulk orders get better rates. If you buy the same sizes every month, ask for a standing price.
5. The exchange rate
Almost every bearing sold in Pakistan is imported, so prices follow the rupee against the dollar and the yuan. A quote from three months ago may no longer hold.
How to compare quotes fairly
- Compare the full number : 6205-2RS C3 against 6205-2RS C3, not against a plain 6205.
- Ask about the brand or grade , not only the price.
- Be careful with famous brand names offered far below the market. Copies are common.
- Include delivery to your city when you compare.
